Why this blog and why today? Just this week, there was a flux of news items coming out of Florida which speculators may call proof of a zombie epidemic or the start of one. Also, there have been several reports in Florida of hazardous material popping up in schools and other ‘safe’ locations. There is simply too much going on in Florida to be ignored.
What if this blog offends me? This blog is not meant to offend anyone. The purpose of this blog is for entertainment value only. Now, if you learn a few survival tips along the way or other forms of awareness, bravo to you! If I cover a news story which involves individuals by name and location, it is all public news that I only know about due to other news sources. I am not an inside reporter nor do I know any more about these news stories than any of you. I will not say anything on this blog that is not being said on other blogs. The intent of this blog is to log ongoing strange occurrences, not embellish them. Our condolences are always with those who have been injured, passed on, or surviving family and friends of those injured or who have passed on. Our entertainment at this blog is not at their expense but at the simple log of strange occurrences that when taken out of context (and mixed with good ole US of A conspiracy theory) could be considered zombie activity.
Do you really believe that Zombies exist? No, I do not.
Do you like Zombie movies? No, I do not.
If you don’t like Zombies, then why create this blog? It is simple – when this much odd behavior is popping up in the news the public needs answers. When reasoning and understanding do not exist and officials do not provide answers or news stories are swept under the rug, it is my desire to dig a bit deeper. You know the old saying “if it looks like a duck…”. Zombies may not exist but when humans are witnessed demonstrating super human strength, growling, performing acts of cannibalism, and appear to not feel pain, that does not appear to be very ‘human’ on the surface and can be categorized loosely as Zombie behavior.
Are you only going to cover Florida stories? No. Right now, there are many Florida news items. I expect this to change from state to state over time. Also, on days that we do not have news items to report, we may also write about general conspiracy theories, zombie history in media, zombie history in religion, zombie related music/art/movies/tv, the list goes on and on.
